Susan planned a trip to the Southwest that we shared with Cliff’s cousin Marilyn the end of September. We used scenic backroads for the majority of the trip. Our first stop was Mono Lake for lunch. The trip included these major sights:
- Grand Canyon, Upper Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, Natural Bridges, Goblin Valley State Park, Capitol Reef, Arches & Bryce National Parks
Some of the sites required our 4 wheel drive Land Cruiser to get to. Little Finland in Nevada was accessed via a challenging road. From there it was 100 miles of rough dirt road to Toroweap on the Grand Canyon. Our next offroad was a road with deep sand to White Pocket in Arizona. In Moab we took the Fins n Things 4×4 trail.
